حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

أَغْلِقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ، وَأَوْكُوا الْأَسْقِيَةَ، وَخَمِّرُوا الْإِنَاءَ، وَأَطْفِئُوا السُّرُجَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَفْتَحُ غُلُقًا، وَلَا يَحُلُّ وِكَاءً وَلَا يَكْشِفُ إِنَاءً، فَإِنَّ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ تُضْرِمُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ

Translation

✧ Close the doors, tie the mouths of the waterskins, cover the vessels, and extinguish the lamps, for the devil does not open a locked door, nor untie a tied waterskin, nor uncover a vessel. Indeed, the little mischief-maker (the mouse) can set the house ablaze upon its people.
