حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ سَعْدٍعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَأَنْ يُمْسِكَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ عَنِ الْحَصْبَاءِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ مِائَةُ نَاقَةٍ كُلُّهَا سُودُ الْحَدَقَةِ، فَإِنْ غَلَبَ أَحَدَكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلْيَمْسَحْ مَسْحَةً وَاحِدَةً

Translation

✧ If one of you refrains from throwing pebbles, it is better for him than having a hundred camels, all with black eyes. But if the devil overcomes one of you, let him wipe once.
