✧ A man came from Jayshān—and Jayshān is in Yemen—and asked the Prophet ﷺ about a drink they used to drink, made in their land from corn, called mizr. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Is it intoxicating?" He said, "Yes." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every intoxicant is unlawful. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has taken a pledge upon Himself that whoever drinks an intoxicant, He will give him to drink from the mud of khabāl." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the mud of khabāl?" He said, "The sweat of the people of the Fire, or the ooze of the people of the Fire."
