✧ I saw as if I were in a strong coat of mail, and I saw cows being slaughtered. I interpreted that the strong coat of mail is Madinah and that the cows, by Allah, are good. He said: So he said to his companions: "If only we stayed in Madinah, for if they enter upon us in it, we will fight them." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, it was not entered upon us in it during the Jahiliyyah, so how could it be entered upon us in it in Islam?" Affan said in his narration: He said: "Then have it your way." He said: So he put on his armor. He said: The Ansar said: "We have opposed the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ opinion." So they came and said: "O Prophet of Allah, then have it your way." He said: "It is not for a prophet, when he has put on his armor, to take it off until he fights."
