حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْغُسْلِ؟ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْغُسْلِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ: أَتَتْ ثَقِيفُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضٌ بَارِدَةٌ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنَا بِالْغُسْلِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ.

✧ I asked Jabir about the ritual bath. Jabir said: Thaqif came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Our land is a cold land, so how do you command us to perform the ritual bath? The Prophet ﷺ said: As for me, I pour water over my head three times. He did not say anything else.
