In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī

    in مسند أحمد, p. 1482
  • al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī

machine translationAbū Zurʿah said: ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah's narration from Saʿd is mursal.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 1482
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAl-Darāwardī was not corroborated in [narrating it] from ʿĀmir. And al-Thawrī narrated from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah, that he heard a man say: "I seek refuge in You from its zaqqūm and its chains." He said: "We did not supplicate like this in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām narrated it from al-Thawrī, and I think he erred in it. The correct wording with this chain is: "Labbayka, Dhā al-Maʿārij."

    in مسند أحمد, p. 1482
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationMuḥammad b. ʿAjlān narrates it from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah, and there is disagreement about it from him. Al-Qāsim b. Maʿn, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar and al-Thawrī narrated it from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah, from Saʿd. Al-Darāwardī differed from them and narrated it from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah, from ʿĀmir b. Saʿd, from Saʿd. Al-Darāwardī was not corroborated in [narrating it] from ʿĀmir. It was also narrated from al-Thawrī, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah: Saʿd heard a man say: "I seek refuge in You from its zaqqūm and its chains." He said: "We did not supplicate like this in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām narrated it from al-Thawrī, and I think he erred in it. The correct wording with this chain is: "Labbayka, Dhā al-Maʿārij." And Allah knows best.

machine translationʿAmr b. Khālid narrated it thus, but it is rather as al-Thawrī, Jarīr, Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān, Ḥātim, Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar and al-Darāwardī narrated it, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Salamah. Al-Darāwardī added: from ʿĀmir b. Saʿd, from Saʿd.
