حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا، عَنِ الْعَقَبَةِ فَقَالَ: شَهِدَهَا سَبْعُونَ فَوَافَقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَخَذْتُ وَأَعْطَيْتُ.

✧ I asked Jabir about the 'Aqabah (pledge), and he said: "Seventy witnessed it, and the Messenger of God ﷺ met them while Abbas b. Abd al-Muttalib was holding his hand. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'I have taken and I have given.'"
