حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَوْ جَاءَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَرَأْسُهُ وَلِحْيَتُهُ مِثْلُ الثَّغَامِ أَوْ مِثْلُ الثَّغَامَةِ قَالَ حَسَنٌ: فَأَمَرَ بِهِ إِلَى نِسَائِهِ قَالَ: غَيِّرُوا هَذَا الشَّيْبَ

✧ Abu Quhafa was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or he came in the year of the conquest, while his head and beard were like hyssop, or like the hyssop plant. Hasan said: He ordered that he be taken to his wives and said: "Change this white hair."
