حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الَّذِي يُقَالَ لَهُ الْعَدَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَاسُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيُمِطْ مَا كَانَ بِهَا مِنْ أَذًى، ثُمَّ لِيَأْكُلْهَا، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ، وَلَا يَمْسَحْ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ، أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ.

✧ When a morsel of one of you falls, let him remove whatever dirt is on it, then eat it, and not leave it for Satan. And let none of you wipe his hand with a napkin until he licks his fingers or has them licked, for he does not know in which part of his food the blessing lies.
