حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
صَنَعْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَّارَةً، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا، فَوَضَعْتُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَاطَّلَعَ فِيهَا، فَقَالَ: حَسِبْتُهُ لَحْمًا، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَهْلِنَا، فَذَبَحُوا لَهُ شَاةً.

✧ We made a clay pot for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I brought it to him and placed it before him. He looked into it and said: I thought it was meat. I mentioned that to our family, and they slaughtered a sheep for him.
