حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّا

كُنَّا نَبِيعُ سَرَارِيَّنَا أُمَّهَاتِ أَوْلَادِنَا، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِينَا حَيٌّ، لَا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ We used to sell our slave-women who were mothers of our children, while the Prophet ﷺ was alive among us, and he did not see any harm in that.
