حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
لَا تَذْبَحُوا إِلَّا مُسِنَّةً، إِلَّا أَنْ تَعْسُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ؛ فَتَذْبَحُوا جَذَعَةً مِنَ الضَّأْنِ.

✧ Do not slaughter except a mature animal, unless it is difficult for you; then slaughter a jadhaʿah (a sheep in its second year) of the sheep.
