حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يَنْقُلُ مَعَهُمْ حِجَارَةَ الْكَعْبَةِ، وَعَلَيْهِ إِزَارٌ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّهُ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، لَوْ حَلَلْتَ إِزَارَكَ، فَجَعَلْتَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْكَ، دُونَ الْحِجَارَةِ. قَالَ: فَحَلَّهُ، فَجَعَلَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ، فَسَقَطَ مَغْشِيًّا عَلَيْهِ، فَمَا رُئِيَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ عُرْيَانًا.

✧ He was carrying stones of the Ka‘bah with them, wearing a waist-wrapper, and his uncle al-‘Abbas said to him: “O son of my brother, if you loosen your wrapper and put it over your shoulders, away from the stones.” He said: “So he loosened it and put it over his shoulders, and he fell down unconscious. After that day he was never seen naked.”
