✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ to seek his help regarding a debt that was upon my father. He said: "I will come to you." So I returned and said to the woman (my wife): "Do not speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and do not ask him." He came to us, and we slaughtered for him a domestic fowl that we had. He said: "O Jabir, it is as if you knew our love for meat!" When he left, the woman said to him: "Pray for me and my husband – or pray for us." He said: "O Allah, bless them." I said to her: "Did I not forbid you?" She said: "Do you think the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter upon us and not supplicate for us!"
