حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ فِطْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

أَغْلِقُوا أَبْوَابَكُمْ، وَخَمِّرُوا آنِيَتَكُمْ، وَأَطْفِئُوا سُرُجَكُمْ، وَأَوْكُوا أَسْقِيَتَكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَفْتَحُ بَابًا مُغْلَقًا، وَلَا يَكْشِفُ غِطَاءً، وَلَا يَحُلُّ وِكَاءً، وَإِنَّ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ تُضْرِمُ الْبَيْتَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ

Translation

✧ Close your doors, cover your vessels, extinguish your lamps, and tie your waterskins, for the devil does not open a closed door, nor uncover a cover, nor untie a tie. And verily the little mouse (fuwaysiqah) sets fire to the house over its people.
