حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَهُوَ يَسْلُتُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ: كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ شَجُّوا وَجْهَ نَبِيِّهِمْ وَكَسَرُوا رَبَاعِيَتَهُ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] ؟ ! فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
Translation

✧ On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of God ﷺ said while wiping the blood from his face: "How can a people succeed who wounded the face of their Prophet and broke his front tooth while he was calling them to God [Mighty and Majestic]?" Then God, Mighty and Majestic, revealed: "You have no part in the matter, whether He turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers."
