✧ I passed with the Prophet ﷺ among the palm trees of Madinah. He saw people on top of the palm trees pollinating them, and said: What are these people doing? He said: They take from the male [pollen] and put it into the female, pollinating with it. He said: I do not think that does any good. News of that reached them, so they abandoned it and came down from the trees. That year the trees bore nothing. News of that reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: It was only a thought I had. If it does any good, then do it. I am only a human like you, and opinion can be mistaken or correct. But whatever I tell you from Allah, Mighty and Majestic, I will never lie about Allah.
