machine translationSulaymān b. Ḥarb objected that Qatādah and other memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) narrated it from Anas in the same way, so the disagreement concerns Anas himself. He said: Perhaps he heard the Prophet ﷺ teaching someone else how to declare the intention for Qirān (combining ḥajj and ʿumrah), and so he thought that he was declaring it for himself.
in مسند أحمد, p. 14130 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationHe was asked about the hadith of Anas b. Mālik, from Abū Ṭalḥah, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Labbayka, with Hajj and ʿUmrah together." He said: Saʿīd b. Bashīr narrates it from Qatādah, from Anas, from Abū Ṭalḥah, while others narrate it from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, and do not mention Abū Ṭalḥah, and that is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version.
