✧ He used to sacrifice two horned rams with some blackness on their legs and bellies, and he would say the name of Allah and magnify Allah (Mighty and Majestic). I saw him slaughtering them with his own hand, placing his foot on their sides.

machine translationSulaymān b. Ḥarb objected that Qatādah and other memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) narrated it from Anas in the same way, so the disagreement concerns Anas himself. He said: Perhaps he heard the Prophet ﷺ teaching someone else how to declare the intention for Qirān (combining ḥajj and ʿumrah), and so he thought that he was declaring it for himself.
