حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

شَهِدْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلِيمَتَيْنِ لَيْسَ فِيهِمَا خُبْزٌ وَلَا لَحْمٌ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ، أَيُّ شَيْءٍ فِيهِمَا ؟ قَالَ: الْحَيْسُ

Translation

✧ I attended two wedding feasts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in which there was neither bread nor meat. He said: I asked, 'O Abu Hamzah, what was in them?' He said: 'Hays.'
