حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

عَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ غُلَامًا كَانَ يَخْدُمُهُ يَهُودِيًّا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُلْ مَا يَقُولُ لَكَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَصْحَابِهِ: صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخِيكُمْ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ visited a Jewish boy who used to serve him. He said to him, "Say: There is no god but Allah." The boy began looking at his father. He [the father] said to him, "Say what he tells you." So he said it. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions, "Pray over your brother."
