✧ Upon the Prophet ﷺ was revealed: "Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory" to the end of the verse, on his return from Hudaybiyyah, while his companions were overcome with grief and sorrow. He said: "A verse has been revealed to me that is dearer to me than the entire world and all that it contains." He said: When the Prophet of Allah ﷺ recited it, a man from the people said: "Congratulations and blessings! Allah has made clear to you what He will do with you, but what will He do with us?" Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed the verse that follows it: "So that He may admit the believing men and the believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow" until the end of the verse.
