حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَعَفَّانُ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
إِنَّ اللهَ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] لَمَّا صَوَّرَ آدَمَ تَرَكَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَهُ؛ فَجَعَلَ إِبْلِيسُ يُطِيفُ بِهِ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَجْوَفَ عَرَفَ أَنَّهُ خَلْقٌ لَا يَتَمَالَكُ
Translation

✧ When Allah [Mighty and Majestic] fashioned Adam, He left him for as long as Allah willed to leave him. Iblis began to circle around him. When he saw that he was hollow, he knew that he was a creature that would not control itself.
