✧ One day the Prophet of Allah ﷺ was invited to barley bread and rancid melted fat. He said: And I heard him one day, on several occasions, saying: By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the family of Muhammad does not have a sa' of grain or a sa' of dates at morning, while he had nine wives that day. And he pawned a coat of mail of his to a Jew in Madinah from whom he took food, and he could not find anything to redeem it with.
