✧ A group from 'Ukl and 'Uraynah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, we were pastoral people and not people of settled land, and we found Madinah unhealthy. So the Messenger of God ﷺ ordered for them a herd of camels and a shepherd, and ordered them to go out with them and drink of their milk and urine. They set out until, when they were in the vicinity of the harrah, they killed the shepherd of the Messenger of God ﷺ, drove off the camels, and disbelieved after their Islam. The Messenger of God ﷺ sent after them, and they were brought back. He cut off their hands and feet, gouged out their eyes, and left them in the harrah until they died in that condition. Qatadah said: It was mentioned to us that this verse was revealed about them.
