حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ بِهِنَّ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ؛ مَنْ كَانَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا، وَرَجُلٌ يُحِبُّ رَجُلًا لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلهِ، وَرَجُلٌ أَنْ يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ يَهُودِيًّا وَنَصْرَانِيًّا.

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Yūnus and Ḥasan b. Mūsá
  2. Ḥammād b. Salamah
  3. Thābit al-Bunānī
  4. Anas b. Mālik

✧ Three things: whoever has them finds the sweetness of faith by them: one to whom Allah and His Messenger are more beloved than anything else besides them; a man who loves another man, loving him only for the sake of Allah; and a man for whom being thrown into the Fire is more beloved to him than returning to being a Jew or a Christian.
