حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا عَرَجَ بِي رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَرَرْتُ بِقَوْمٍ لَهُمْ أَظْفَارٌ مِنْ نُحَاسٍ يَخْمُشُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَصُدُورَهُمْ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ: هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ لُحُومَ النَّاسِ وَيَقَعُونَ فِي أَعْرَاضِهِمْ

Translation

✧ When my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, took me on the night journey, I passed by people who had nails of copper with which they scratched their faces and chests. I said: 'Who are these, O Jibril?' He said: 'These are those who eat the flesh of people and speak against their honor.'
