حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ وَحُسَيْنٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
لَمْ يَبْلُغْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الشَّيْبِ مَا يَخْضِبُهُ وَلَكِنْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَدْ كَانَ يَخْضِبُ رَأْسَهُ وَلِحْيَتَهُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ.

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ did not reach such an amount of gray hair that he needed to dye it, but Abu Bakr used to dye his head and beard with henna and katam.
