حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا أَهْلَ بِئْرِ مَعُونَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ صَبَاحًا: عَلَى رِعْلٍ، وَذَكْوَانَ، وَلِحْيَانَ، وَبَنِي عُصَيَّةَ عَصَتِ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، وَنَزَلَ فِي ذَلِكَ قُرْآنٌ، فَقَرَأْنَاهُ: بَلِّغُوا عَنَّا قَوْمَنَا أَنَّا قَدْ لَقِينَا رَبَّنَا فَرَضِيَ عَنَّا وَأَرْضَانَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated against those who killed the people of the well of Ma'una for thirty mornings: against Ri'l, Dhakwan, Lihyan, and Banu 'Usayya who disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. And concerning that, Qur'an was revealed, which we recited: 'Convey from us to our people that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us and has satisfied us.'
