حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ مَعَ جَدِّي دَارَ الْإِمَارَةِ، فَإِذَا دَجَاجَةٌ مَصْبُورَةٌ تُرْمَى، فَكُلَّمَا أَصَابَهَا سَهْمٌ صَاحَتْ، فَقَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

Translation

✧ I entered the governor's palace with my grandfather, and there was a chicken tied up as a target. Every time an arrow hit it, it cried out. He said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade tying up animals as targets."
