✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed the morning prayer in the darkness before dawn. Then he said, “God is most great. Khaybar is ruined. When we descend in the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned.” He said, “They went out rushing through the streets saying, ‘Muhammad and the army!’” He said, “The Messenger of God ﷺ prevailed over them, killed their fighting men, and took their children captive. Safiyya went to Dihya al-Kalbi, and then she went to the Messenger of God ﷺ afterwards. He married her and made her manumission her dower.” He said, “'Abd al-'Aziz b. Suhayb said to him, ‘O Abu Muhammad, did you ask Anas what he gave her as her dower, and Anas told you, “He gave her herself as her dower”?’ Thabit laughed and said, ‘Yes.’”
