حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ
أَتَيْنَا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ نَشْكُو إِلَيْهِ الْحَجَّاجَ، فَقَالَ: لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمٌ أَوْ زَمَانٌ إِلَّا الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ، سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ
Translation

✧ We came to Anas b. Malik complaining to him about al-Hajjaj, so he said: No day or time will come upon you except that which follows it will be worse than it. I heard it from your Prophet ﷺ.
