حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ - قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: الْقَرْعَ -، قَالَ: فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ - أَوْ: دُعِيَ لَهُ -، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَتَبَّعُهُ فَأَضَعُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ لِمَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to love gourd—Hajjaj said: pumpkin. He said: Food was brought—or he was invited to it. Anas said: I began to pick it out and place it before him because I knew he loved it.
