حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَعَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ
لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ؛ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَمَا لَنَا ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ
Translation

✧ When this verse was revealed: Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory, so that Allah may forgive you your past and future sins, the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Congratulations to you, O Messenger of Allah, but what about us? Then this verse was revealed: That He may admit the believing men and believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein, and to expiate their evil deeds from them.
