✧ We passed by and startled a hare at Marr al-Ẓahrān. They chased it and became exhausted, so I ran until I caught it. I brought it to Abū Ṭalḥa, and he slaughtered it. He sent its haunch or thigh to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he accepted it. Ḥajjāj said: I said to Shuʿba, 'Did he eat it?' He said, 'Yes; he ate it.' He later said to me, 'He accepted it.'
