✧ The last glance I cast at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was when he fell ill. He ordered Abū Bakr, and he prayed with the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew aside the curtain of ʿĀʾishah's chamber and looked at the people. I looked at his face, and it was like a page of a muṣḥaf, until Abū Bakr stepped back on his heels to join the row, thinking that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to pray with the people. He smiled when he saw them in rows, gestured with his hand to them to complete your prayer, and let the curtain fall between him and them. He passed away that very day.
