✧ Umm Sulaym set about preparing half a mudd of barley and ground it. Then she set about a small skin container in which there was some ghee, and made from it a khatifah. He said: Then she sent me to the Prophet ﷺ. He said: I came to him while he was among his companions and said, 'Umm Sulaym sent me to you, inviting you.' He said, 'Me and those with me.' He said: So he came, he and those with him. He said: I entered and said to Abu Talhah, 'The Prophet ﷺ has come, he and those with him.' Abu Talhah went out, walked beside the Prophet ﷺ, and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is only a khatifah that Umm Sulaym made from half a mudd of barley.' He said: He entered, and it was brought. He said: He placed his hand in it and said, 'Let ten enter.' He said: Ten entered and ate until they were full. Then ten entered and ate. Then ten, until forty ate from it, all of them eating until they were full. He said: And it remained as it was. He said: Then we ate.
