حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسَاحِقٍعَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
مَا رَأَيْتُ إِمَامًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِمَامِكُمْ هَذَا، لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ، وَكَانَ عُمَرُ لَا يُطِيلُ الْقِرَاءَةَ

✧ I have not seen an imam whose prayer more closely resembled the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than this imam of yours — meaning Umar b. Abd al-Aziz, who was in Madinah at that time. And Umar did not prolong the recitation.
