حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَبَّابًا وَلَا فَحَّاشًا وَلَا لَعَّانًا، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِأَحَدِنَا عِنْدَ الْمَعْتَبَةِ: مَا لَهُ، تَرِبَ جَبِينُهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Yūnus and Surayj
  2. Fulayḥ
  3. Hilāl b. ʿAlī
  4. Anas b. Mālik

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not one to revile, nor use obscene language, nor curse. He would say to one of us when angry: 'What is wrong with him? May his forehead be dusted.'
