حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ عَفَّانُ أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ
جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ - قَالَ عَفَّانُ: مَعَهَا ابْنٌ لَهَا -، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ - وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: قَالَ: فَخَلَا بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ - إِنَّكُمْ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

✧ A woman from the Ansar came to the Messenger of God ﷺ—'Affan said: with a son of hers—and he said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul'—and Ibn Ja'far said: he said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ was alone with her and said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, you are among the dearest people to me," three times.'
