حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ حَارِثَةَ خَرَجَ نَظَّارًا فَأَتَاهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَدْ عَرَفْتَ مَوْقِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ، وَإِلَّا رَأَيْتَ مَا أَصْنَعُ، قَالَ: يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ لَفِي أَفْضَلِهَا - أَوْ قَالَ: فِي أَعَلَى الْفِرْدَوْسِ.

Translation

✧ Harithah went out as a scout, and an arrow came to him and killed him. His mother said, "O Messenger of God, you know the place Harithah holds with me. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, you will see what I do." He said, "O mother of Harithah, it is not one Paradise, but many gardens, and Harithah is in the best of them," or he said, "in the highest Firdaws."
