حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ويَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ

إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يُتِمُّونَ التَّكْبِيرَ، فَيُكَبِّرُونَ إِذَا سَجَدُوا، وَإِذَا رَفَعُوا - قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَوْ خَفَضُوا - قَالَ: كَبَّرُوا

Translation

✧ Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, and ʿUthmān used to complete the takbīr, saying 'Allāhu akbar' when they prostrated and when they raised — Yaḥyā said: or lowered — he said: they said 'Allāhu akbar.'
