حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ
أَنْفَجْنَا أَرْنَبًا بِمَرِّ الظَّهْرَانِ، قَالَ: فَسَعَى عَلَيْهَا الْغِلْمَانُ حَتَّى لَغِبُوا، قَالَ: فَأَدْرَكْتُهَا، فَأَتَيْتُ بِهَا أَبَا طَلْحَةَ فَذَبَحَهَا، ثُمَّ بَعَثَ مَعِي بِوَرِكِهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَبِلَ
Translation

✧ We flushed out a hare at Marr al-Zahran. He said: The boys ran after it until they became exhausted. He said: I caught it, and I brought it to Abu Talhah, who slaughtered it. Then he sent with me its hind legs to the Prophet ﷺ, and he accepted it.
