حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَإِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ قَالَ: أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ، وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَبْرَارُ، وَتَنَزَّلَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Hishām Waʾisḥāq al-Azraq
  3. al-Dastuwāʾī
  4. Yaḥyá b. Abū Kathīr
  5. Anas b. Mālik

✧ The Prophet ﷺ, when he broke his fast at the house of a family, would say: 'May the fasting break their fast with you, and may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels descend upon you.'
