✧ The main injunction of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when death approached him was: the prayer, and what your right hands possess, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was gurgling in his chest and could hardly utter it with his tongue.

machine translationQatādah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn Abī ʿArūbah and Abū ʿAwānah narrated it from Qatādah, from Safīnah, from Umm Salamah. Sulaymān al-Taymī differed from them and narrated it from Qatādah, from Anas. Hammām was not followed in his saying "from Abū al-Khalīl", and the hadith of al-Taymī from Qatādah from Anas is not preserved (ghayr maḥfūẓ).
machine translationSaʿīd b. Abī ʿArūbah narrated it and said: from Qatādah, from Safīnah, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Ibn Abī ʿArūbah is a better memorizer, but the hadith of Hammām is more likely correct; Hammām added a man.
in مسند أحمد, p. 12295 - Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī
machine translationWe see that this is a mistake, and the correct version is the hadith of Hammām, from Qatādah, from Ṣāliḥ Abū al-Khalīl, from Safīnah, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ.
