✧ I have not seen anyone more merciful to his family than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Ibrāhīm was being suckled in the highlands of Madinah, and he would go off with us, enter the house even though it was filled with smoke — his wet-nurse was a blacksmith — and he would take him and kiss him, then return. ʿAmr said: When Ibrāhīm died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Ibrāhīm is my son, and he died while still nursing. He will have two wet-nurses to complete his suckling in Paradise.'

machine translationAyyūb al-Sakhtiyānī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Wuhayb and Ibn ʿUlayyah narrated it from Ayyūb, from ʿAmr b. Saʿīd, from Anas. Ḥammād b. Zayd differed from them and narrated it from Ayyūb, from Anas, without mentioning anyone between them. The first is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
