حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ كَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تَصْنَعُونَ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ - يَعْنِي: يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ - ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُهِلُّ الْمُهِلُّ مِنَّا، فَلَا يُنْكَرُ عَلَيْهِ، وَيُكَبِّرُ الْمُكَبِّرُ مِنَّا، فَلَا يُنْكَرُ عَلَيْهِ

Translation

✧ I asked Anas b. Malik, “How did you used to act on a day like this—meaning the Day of Arafah?” He said, “We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ. Some of us would enter the state of ihram, and no one objected to him; and some of us would pronounce the takbir, and no one objected to him.”
