حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَعْزِمْ فِي الدُّعَاءِ، وَلَا يَقُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَعْطِنِي، فَإِنَّ اللهَ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ When one of you supplicates, let him be firm in supplication and not say: 'O Allah, if You will, then give me,' for Allah [Mighty and Majestic] cannot be compelled.
