✧ He witnessed Ali pray the noon prayer, then sit in the open courtyard attending to the people's needs. When the afternoon prayer came, a basin was brought to him, and he took a handful of water and wiped his hands, forearms, face, head, and feet, then drank the leftover water while standing, and said: 'Some people dislike drinking while standing, but the Messenger of God ﷺ did as I did, and this is the ablution of one who has not invalidated his state of purity.'
