✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ delayed the Isha prayer until the night had fallen and a third of it or about a third had passed. Then he went out to the mosque, and there the people were in scattered groups, and they were few. He became angry with an anger such that I do not know that I ever saw him angrier than that. Then he said: "If a man were to invite the people to a marrow bone or two small pieces of meat, they would come to it readily and not stay behind, yet they stay behind from this prayer. I was on the verge of ordering a man to lead the people in prayer, and then I would go after these houses whose people stayed behind from this prayer and set them ablaze with fire."
